Typically, in spring we receive rainfall 2x -3x/week which is more than sufficient for most lawns and plants. Above average rainfall combined with cool temperatures allows soil to stay moist and provide plenty of water for plant requirements. Turf normally requires the most water and begins to come out of dormancy at end the end of April/ beginning of May. If you have an established lawn and landscape, then I would recommend regular automatic watering to begin in Mid-May/ end of May. This is based upon previous years’ experience and normal weather patterns. If you have a new lawn and landscape, then you may need to begin automatic watering sooner. There are many variables to consider on when to begin automatic watering such as temperature, rainfall, sunlight, soil temperature, soil type, and new landscape vs. established. It is advised to consult with your lawn care professional for their suggestions.
I would recommend that you call RAIN RICH to schedule your spring start up before you need to use your system. The spring startup will ensure your system is ready to go as we check all your equipment, make necessary repairs & replacements, adjustments, and programming. when you are ready to begin watering you will only have to turn the dial on your controller to “run.” If you own a smart controller, then you will activate using your phone. The spring turn on service is important, labor intensive, requires a lot of time to be completed correctly, and fills our schedule, I suggest you call now to schedule your appointment.
Please schedule your appointment as soon as possible and allow us the time to serve you.
